Captains' game at West Michigan suspended in sixth inning

Aug. 20—The Captains' game at West Michigan on Aug. 20 was suspended during the sixth inning. It is scheduled to resume Aug. 21 before the final game of the series.

Connor Kokx hit a three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to give Lake County a 5-2 lead. Then lightning, followed by pouring rain led to the game being suspended with two outs in the top of the sixth.

Aaron Bracho doubled home Pete Halpin in the second inning. In the fifth inning, Bracho doubled again, then came home on a Korey Holland triple.

Captains starter Rodney Boone went five innings, yielding a solo home run in the first and a run-scoring single in the third. He struck out five.
