Captains power past Lugnuts, 18-6

Jul. 22—The Captains hit three home runs, including a grand slam, in their first game back from a five-day break, and they beat host Lansing, 18-6, on July 22.

Aaron Bracho hit a three-run home run in the first inning. Johnathan Rodriguez added a solo blast in the fifth, and Micael Ramirez hit a grand slam in the ninth.

Ramirez finished with six RBI, and Bracho had five. Bracho also had a double.

Milan Tolentino, Rodriguez and Gabriel Rodriguez each had four hits. Tolentino and Gabriel Rodriguez each had a double. Rodriguez also had four hits in the Captains' last game before the break.

The Captains finished with 23 hits and six walks, and they only struck out four times.

The series continues July 23 at Lansing.
