A car has ended up on top of two caravans after crashing into a showroom site in a strange parking fail.

Photos published by a fire station show the vehicle, a silver Hyundai, perched between the two caravans.

The bizarre piece of parking happened at Glossop Caravans in the town of Glossop, Derbyshire.

Firefighters were called to the caravan showroom just after 2pm on Saturday.

No one was injured in the incident.

Crews from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to remove the car from the top of the two caravans.

Glossop Fire Station posted images of the operation on its Facebook page.

The fire station said it was notified of a road traffic collision.

"On arrival, crews found a car on top of two caravans which had happened due to a mishap trying to park in car park," it said.
