Car crash wipes out power to hundreds in Athol
A car crash in Athol wiped out power to hundreds of residents.
Viewer photos sent to Boston 25 News showed a car overturned and a pole knocked over.
Athol police alerted residents to the potential power outages on Facebook Sunday afternoon.
Due to a motor vehicle accident there is a large area of town that is without power. It is expected to be out for a few hours.

As of midnight, over six hours since the crash occurred, power was still out to 7% of the town, - about 701 customers, according to MEMA.
