Car hits Harwich home, two sent to hospital

HARWICH — Two people were hurt when their veered off Depot Street Friday morning and crashed into a house, according to the Harwich Fire Department.

At 8:58 a.m., the fire department got word of the crash at 473 Depot St., Fire Capt. Donald Parker said.

EMTs took the driver and passenger of the car to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of injuries, he said.

The homeowners were present at the time of the crash, but were not injured, according to Parker.

He estimated minimal damage to the house, but severe damage to the car, which is most likely totaled.

Harwich police are investigating the crash.
