Dec. 12—CHAPLIN — If your motor vehicle needs repair and you are in the Chaplin area, Family Auto Repair is the place to go.

Providing customers with fair prices and excellent services are two of the business' top priorities.

They are a full service automotive repair shop, who can help you with whatever repairs you might need.

Their services include oil changes, tire rotations, tire changes as well as routine maintenance check ups.

The business is in good hands, as it is owned by veteran mechanic Roy Drum. For Drum, fixing cars has been a lifelong passion and he enjoys it because he is good with his hands.

" I've been turning wrench for over 30 years in this area," Drum said.

He started Family Auto Repair six years ago and has been fixing cars in the Chaplin area ever since.

Prior to that, Drum worked at T& B Motor Sales & Service in Mansfield and Rose Brothers Garage, which has shops in both Columbia and North Windham.

While many businesses were closed during the peak of the COVID- 19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, Family Auto Repair remained open by appointment, continuing to provide top- tier mechanical services.

" With all the craziness going on we are still open!," the business posted on its Facebook page on March 24, 2020. " We are available by appointment, please give us a call or email us and we will get right back to you."

Drum believes that honesty is what sets his garage apart from other auto repair shops.

Drum noted that his favorite part of the job is interacting with customers.

On its Facebook page, Family Auto Repair holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5.

As of Dec. 8, 19 reviews had been made on the business' Facebook page, all of which were positive.

" Very fast, very reliable, very good prices, awesome people!," wrote one patron on the Family Auto Repair Facebook page.

" Honest, helpful, trustworthy," wrote another satisfied customer on the Family Auto Repair Facebook page. " Highly recommend."
