Car passengers jump out of moving car; car crashes into home: Mobile Police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Passengers of a car jumped out while the car was moving after police attempted to make a traffic stop, causing the car to crash into a home.

Mobile Police were in the area of Overlook Road when they attempted to make a traffic stop just before midnight on Tuesday, according to a news release from the department.

The release said the driver refused to stop and the occupants of the car jumped out while it was moving. The car then hit an empty home in the 6000 block of Scottsdale Drive.

Officers allegedly recovered two guns. A juvenile passenger was arrested. The case is still under investigation, according to the release.
