The Broad River European Motor Club is preparing to host its annual European Classic Car Show on Saturday,April 29, at Dog Head Farm which is near Shelby Airport.

Spectators are welcome to attend beginning at 10 a.m. Admission is a donation to the youth charities the show will support.

Turn off College Avenue on to Sam Lattimore Road and then onto Twin Chimney Road and proceed to the show.

Jim Morgan, the show director, shared that the show has seven classes this year. They are British, German, Italian, Scandinavian, exotic, kit cars and motorcycles. In addition to the class prizes, there will be a best of show trophy presented.

Day of the show registration begins at 9 a.m. Voting for best in class and best in show begins at 11 am and closes at 1 p.m.

The awards will be given at 2 p.m., and the show will conclude by 2:30 p.m.

Cost to register for the show is $25.

Go online at broadriveremc.com to complete the online registration form. If you register before April 23, the cost will be twenty dollars. The ‘Sup Dawg Food Truck from Gardner Webb University Food Service BREMC has sponsored a show since 2009. Each year the Club donates funds from the show to local charities.

This year, the club decided to support youth charities. Money will go to the Clothing Closet of the Junior Charity League, Beach Trip for North Shelby students sponsored by Teddy Bear and Friends, and the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County eight units across the county.
