"Our entire motor vehicle registration and title services will be completely reinvented for a minimum of the next 16 months," Tax Assessor-Collector Tommy Smyth said in a press release.

Smyth said motor vehicle operations will be done first, followed by the property tax division. The property tax division will remain open at the downtown annex.

Also, a drop box will be available in the main annex. The three field offices in Burkburnett, Electra and Iowa Park will be open during the remodeling period with extra staff to help with increased volume.

Smyth said residents may renew registrations by mail or online and at any of the four United Supermarket locations in Wichita Falls and Burkburnett.
