Cardi B Stayed Up All Night Getting a Neon Green Stiletto Manicure

Here's the lowdown on how to subscribe to Allure's print edition for more beauty routines, recommendations, and features.

Like so many of us who've been staying home during the coronavirus pandemic, Cardi B has resorted to doing some of her own beauty treatments she might otherwise go to a pro for. (Can't get a wax? Grab some Veet and call it a day — a smooth, hairless day.) But with beauty businesses gradually reopening around the country with new safety and hygiene measures in place, the rapper is clearly among the many nail-salon regulars who have been eager to return to a manicurist's station — and she shared the results of a bold new manicure on Instagram.

Early Friday morning, Cardi B shared a video on her Instagram Stories in which she's showing off her nails: a newly super long, extra-pointy stiletto shape in a summery, neon, lime green shade. The glossy finish shines with the manicurist's light just inches away — Cardi clearly posted the photo before she even left the chair, and the creation seems to have taken all night. The video is time-stamped 5:27 a.m.

Cardi also tags the nail artist, Marie Nailz, who shared the rapper's post on her own Instagram grid, along with a heartfelt caption about how grateful she is to have gotten the opportunity — and not just because it's been a while since manicurists have been able to work on clients.

"I JUST DID @iamcardib NAILS ALL NIGHT🥰🥰," she wrote. "I SWEAR I WAS JUST TALKING TO MY HUBBY @official_pistolapete YESTERDAY AND I TOLD HIM I GOTTA DO CARDI NAILS THEN I GET HIT UP TO DO THEM OMG IM CRYING BECAUSE I WAS JUST HOMELESS A FEW YEARS AGO🙏🙏 AND SHE POSTED ME IN HER STORY❤️ IM SO THANKFUL FOR EVERYONE WHO SUPPORT ME 💯NEVER STOP PUSHING IM HERE TO HELP EVERYONE MORE BIG THINGS COMING 🚀."

It's completely understandable if you don't feel ready to return to a nail pro yet while social-distancing recommendations remain in place. However, if your community has allowed for the reopening of nail salons, be sure to follow current guidelines to ensure the safest possible experience for you, your manicurist, and your fellow patrons.
