Cardi B is opening up about how she and her husband, Offset, are dealing with the aftermath of Takeoff's painful loss. The world was hit with the heavy news of rapper Takeoff's passing on November 1 after he was shot at a bowling alley.

It has been almost a month since the unfortunate incident happened, and Cardi is getting candid about how Offset is struggling while still mourning his beloved cousin.

Cardi B Feels 'Hopeless' Trying To Cheer Husband Offset

Cardi, during an interview, revealed what life has been like for her family as they try to adjust to their new normal without the late rapper. The "Bodak Yellow" explained that she and Offset have been trying to live their lives normally, as evident in her Instagram Stories, but it has been anything but easy.

In her words, "We’re living our lives normally, but deep down inside, our hearts have been so heavy." Cardi revealed that she hasn’t been able to publicly open up about the heaviness in her family because "the internet’s so desensitized." Also, she doesn’t want her family to be a sympathy case.

In her words, "I feel like if I talk about – the internet’s so desensitized – how we really feel, what motherf–kers really been going through, y’all would start saying, 'Oh sympathy.' We don’t want no sympathy."

The "Hustlers" star noted that while she and her family are "no charity case," trying to cheer up her husband hasn’t been the easiest. "No lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, Trying to make him crack a smile," she confessed.

The 30-year-old admitted that seeing the Migos rapper "randomly cry" about his late cousin and try to distract himself from the pain breaks her heart. It also didn’t help that they are trying to work around their schedules and be present at work while dealing with such pain underneath.

The "WAP" rapper then addressed people who were feeling "comfortable trying to be funny" with the topic of Takeoff’s death since it’s been a few weeks since it happened. She warned, "We ain’t in the mood to be f**king playing around with y’all."

As The Blast reported, Offset broke his silence on the late Migos rapper’s death shortly after his memorial service. He began his statement, writing, "Dear Take, The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered, and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare."

He continued, reminiscing about his late cousin, "Every time you would see me, you didn't give me a dap you gave me a hug. I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time."

Despite his pain, Offset revealed he found a little comfort in knowing someone as good as Takeoff was watching over him in heaven. "I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled."

He concluded the emotional statement, writing, "Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and after."

Cardi also broke her silence on the late 28-year-old’s death in a touching post. "Takeoff, your untimely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives. The impact you had in this world was so considerable, and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy," she began.

She discussed how Offset and Quavo, fellow Migos rapper, have been dealing with Takeoff’s immeasurable loss, adding, "The emptiness your brothers are feeling is unbearable, and I pray that you give Offset, Quavo, and your friends and family the strength to keep going as they are trying to cope with this loss."

Cardi noted that much more than Takeoff being a loved one, she was a huge fan of his music and the rap industry would never be the same without him.
