Cardinals-Bears rewind: Arizona gets 10th win, stays unbeaten in road games

The Arizona Cardinals (10-2) beat the Chicago Bears, 33-22, on Sunday.

Arizona maintains its NFL's best record and improves its road record to 7-0 this season.

Cardinals never trailed in the game against Chicago. The Bears scored their final TD at the 2:45 minute mark when Andy Dalton (25-of-40, 218 yards, 4 INT) threw his second TD to Jakeem Grant, Sr, and tight end Jimmy Graham scored a two-point conversion thereafter.

Kyler Murray went 11-of-15 for 123 yards and scored two touchdowns, and DeAndre Hopkins had two catches for 33 yards and one TD in their comeback game after being out the past three.

Cardinals defense makes 3 big plays in fourth quarter

Arizona's defense has continued to trap the Bears. The Cardinals offense has capitalize on their four forced turnovers, which included two of their four interceptions in the fourth quarter.

On third-and-5 at the Bears 26, Cardinals MIKE linebacker Jordan Hicks shot up the middle to sack Andy Dalton for a loss of 11 at the 12:30 mark. That marked Hicks' single season career-best four sacks.

Chicago was enabled to continue it possession after outside linebacker Dennis Gardeck collected a penalty for roughing the passer on their punt play. Then on first-and-10 at their own 30, Dalton threw his third interception after the ball was tipped by Chandler Jones and was caught by cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. at the Bears 41 before he returned it for 13 yards.

Cardinals kicker Matt Prater scored a 25-yard field goal, his second of the game, on fourth-and-goal at 8:31.

Then Dalton threw his fourth pick on second-and-15 from the Bears 43, which was caught by defensive end Zach Allen at their 37 and returned it to the 12.

Kyler Murray scored his second rushing TD, this time for three yards, on the right two plays later with 6:23 left to play.

The extra point was good. Cardinals lead Bears, 33-14.

Cardinals have scored 17 points on their three forced TOs.

Bears' Graham scores their second TD in third quarter

At 3:53 in the third quarter, Chicago running back Montgomery rushed for what appeared to be his second TD on first-and-goal at the 2. But the officials reversed the call after they ruled his knee was down as he was tackled at the 1.

After Andy Dalton's QB sneak attempt had no gain on the next play, Dalton threw to tight end Jimmy Graham for his TD of the game at 2:49. That's Graham's first TD this season

The extra point was good, and Chicago nips at the Cardinals lead, 24-14 as they close the period.

Prater kicks in Cardinals' 1st FG

Kyler Murray looks back to his normal self, scrambling in and out of the pocket to get the Cardinals downhill.

He rushes three times for 23 of the Cardinals 73 yards. Murray also threw two passes to WR Demetrius Harris, James Conner, and a shovel pass on a reverse play to Rondae Moore which resulted in a loss of six their first drive after halftime.

Their drive ended on a 33-yard field goal by Matt Prater at 9:52 in the third quarter, which was good. Cardinals keep the lead over Bears, 24-7.

Cardinals leads Bears by 14 at halftime

Arizona ended the first half on its 21-7 lead over Chicago. The Cardinals entered the break during its fifth possession of the game on second-and-10 at their own 27, after they scored in all of their first three.

Kyler Murray is playing decent in his return. He's gone 5-of-8 for 73 yards, four rushes for 19 and ran in one of his two TDs.

DeAndre Hopkins' only reception of the game was his 21-yard TD catch in the Cardinals' opening drive.

Bears running back David Montgomery is the game's leading rusher thus far at 63 yards on 14 attempts and scored Chicago's only TD.

Conner's uses ballet move for Arizona's 3rd TD in 2nd quarter

The Cardinals' touchdown leader James Conner maintained that stat in style when he scored their third TD in their same amount of drives.

Kyler Murray threw a short pass right to Conner on third-and-23 from the Bears 23 at 5:40 in the second quarter. Conner then reeled the ball in with his left hand, did a half pirouette and pivoted as he clutched the ball with his other hand, then ran down the flat into the end zone.

The extra point was good, Cardinals up, 21-7.

Conner's 14 TDs are tied for second in the NFL with Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, currently at two behind Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor.

Bears' Montgomery rushes for TD

Chicago got on the scoreboard when the Bear's top running back David Montgomery ran in their first TD near second quarter's midpoint at 8:50.

Montgomery rushed for the one-yard TD to end the Bears' 13-play, 77-yard possession.

The extra point was good, which cuts Arizona's lead to 14-7.

Murray scores Arizona's 2nd TD in first quarter

Kyler Murray scored his first rushing TD since Week 8 against the Packers after he fumbled for the second time against the Bears.

Playing in the second rainy weather game of his career, Murray dropped a shotgun snap on first-and-goal at Chicago's 2 and lost two yards at the 2:35 mark in the first quarter. Three plays later, he scrambled right to run in the nine-yard TD, the Cardinals' second scoring play.

The extra point was good. Cardinals are off to a fast start, leading Bears, 14-0, to close the opening period.

Budda Baker gets Cardinals' second INT

The rain worked in the Cardinals' favor to get their second INT within the Bears' first two drives.

On third-and-6 from the Arizona 20, Andy Dalton threw a short pass right to tight end Cole Kmet, he lost his grip upon landing in the zone and Baker grabbed the airbone ball thereafter.

Baker then returned the ball for 76 yards. That's his third INT this season. The Bears were called for an illegal formation penalty, which Arizona declined.

Murray fumbles on first throw, Hopkins gets TD

The Cardinals' dynamic duo in quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins connected to score the games' first touchdown in Arizona's opening drive.

But Kyler Murray might be showing some signs of rust or could blame it on the rain for the ball's wetness as he fumbled on his first throw attempt. The ball slipped out of his hand and he jumped on it as it went loose, which resulted in a loss of six.

Arizona scored the 21-yard TD on a deep pass right on fourth-and-3 at the 10:55 mark. It was initially not ruled a TD until the call was overturned.

The TD followed safety Jalen Thompson's interception of Andy Dalton's targeted short pass left to WR Jakeem Grant Sr. at 13:35 on third-and-6, picked off at Chicago's 34 and Thompson ran it back for six yards.

The extra point was good. Cardinals are up, 7-0.

Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins are back, inactives

The wait is over.

Arizona is getting back its starting quarterback Kyler Murray and top wideout DeAndre Hopkins back in the lineup against the Bears.

Murray and Hopkins were game-time decisions and may play sparingly because of their ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively. They've been out of Arizona's last three games since the Cardinals' home loss to the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 28.

The Cardinals inactive players are wide receiver Andy Isabella, backup QB Trace McSorley, cornerback Jace Whittaker, and left guard Justin Pugh.

Chicago's inactives are QB Justin Fields, running back Damien Williams, WRs Allen Robinson II and Marquise Goodwin, defensive back Teez Tabor, defensive linemen Akiem Hicks and Mario Edwards Jr.
