Tuslaw put together a strong second quarter and were never threatened in the second half as it cruised to a 68-50 win over Sandy Valley.
Leading by one after the opening eight minutes of play, the Mustangs outscored the Cardinals 23-8 in the second stanza for a 34-18 halftime advantage.
Tuslaw increased its lead to 49-31 after three quarters were in the books.
Ben Petro paced the way for Sandy Valley with 19 points and four steals, Kaiden Mastri had 12 points and six rebounds, Dantae Faiello had seven points and 10 rebounds, Brandon Wigfield had six points, and Nick Petro dished out four assists.
The Cardinals struggled from the field, hitting on 20-of-53 (38%), while Tuslaw made 25-of-43 (58%).
Sandy Valley was 9-for-15 (60%) at the line, while Tuslaw was 12-for-25 (48%).
