Cardinals meet with athletic O-line prospect Larnel Coleman

The Arizona Cardinals have selected an offensive lineman on Day 3 of the draft in four of the last five years. They have taken long, athletic tackles on multiple occasions.

They have another on their radar.

According to The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, they are one of at least 15 teams to meet with Massachusetts tackle Larnel Coleman.

Coleman played in 36 games for the Minutemen over four seasons. He is 6-6 and 304 pounds. He has extremely long arms at 36 inches, which is a very good thing for tackles going against edge rushers.

He ran the 40 in under 5.2 seconds, bench pressed 225 pounds 24 times and had a vertical leap of 31 inches.

He has the requisite athleticism for the NFL. He sounds a lot like the last two tackles the Cardinals took with a day 3 pick — Josh Miles, who is on the roster now, and Korey Cunningham, whom they drafted in 2018 and has since been traded away.

The Cardinals have four Day three picks, including two in the seventh round.

It should not be surprising if the Cardinals end up selecting Coleman in a couple of weeks.
