Career choices: This group of kids is into animals, space, YouTube
The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten through eighth-grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed weekly.
This month’s question: What you want to be when you are grown up and why this is what you want to be?

When I grow up I want to be a cop. But the bad thing is to be a cop is I have to get tazed, oh no. But the good thing is I get to eat donuts. When I am in a chase I get to go fast and no one can stop me if they want to go to jail. The only thing is all I want is money. Then I will probably get fired.

When I grow up I want to be a vet tec. A vet tec is someone who take care of animals when they are at the vet. I may have to help the doctors do surgery. Why I want to be a vet tec is because I love animals so, so much!! When the animals are ready to go home I have to wash them and then I have to brush them and I would work for 6 hours. That is what I would be when I grow up.

This is what I would be when I grow up. I would be a girl that works at Meyers Hatchery. I would work 5 hours. Baby chickes are my favorite animals. Also at home on my farm I would have cats, dogs, cows, and horses. The animals I woud show at the fair is pigs, sheep, goats, and meat chickens. Meyers is close to my parents so they can go there anytime they want. Those are the things I would be when I grow up.

I want to be an astronaut because I can go to space and see a lot of planets. I want to go to the moon. You can jump 407 feet up and I can drive a rocket ship. I can go to different planets. I really want to go to the moon and Jupiter but I don’t want to burn so I don’t want to go to anymore. I can go to Neptune but it is freezing there so how am I supposed to to there? It’s impossible. I can go to a lot of places.

What I want to do when I grow up is be a game warden. I whoch Texas and Louisiana game wardens. I like them because they keep the wildlife safe. They ride in trucks, boats and do what the laws are. They wear cool hats and they are a tipe of polise. I like game wardens and make sure people are doing the law.
