Career fair held at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

A career fair was held Wednesday at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

More than 2,000 people registered to attend with 70 employers looking to fill positions.

Officials say recruitment plays a huge role in the state’s economy.

“We contribute 66 billion dollars a year to the state’s economy. Part of that is through the job opportunities here at the airport. So we want to make sure we have employers coming in. People looking for work. They’ve got plenty of opportunities here in ATL,” Andrew Gobeil, spokesperson for the airport said.

This was the airport’s biggest hiring event since the pandemic.
