Career Fair and Tenant Forum is July 30

Jul. 19—Residents can learn about their rights as a housing renter and get connected with employers at the Career Fair and Tenant Forum on July 30 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Cobb County Public Safety Police Training Academy, 2435 East-West Connector in Austell.

Chief Magistrate Judge Brendan Murphy and Cobb Legal Aid will discuss tenants' rights and the eviction process. The Marietta Housing Authority, the Department of Community Affairs and other non-profit agencies will answer tenant-related and housing questions. District Attorney Flynn Broady's team at Cobb Second Chance Desk will help citizens restrict and seal eligible criminal records. Georgia Department of Labor will be available to assist veterans with employment and veteran-related benefits.

Participants should come prepared with their resume and dressed in business casual attire for an onsite interview.
