Carencro Head Football Coach Tony Courville retires
Carencro, LA – Tony Courville, the head football coach of the Bears of Carencro High School retired on Tuesday.
Coach Courville took over as the head coach back in 2017, and in 2020 led the Bears to a 4A State Championship. Many say he re-established the winning tradition Carencro fans have become accustom to at Exit 4.
I talked with Coach Courville, via text on Tuesday afternoon, and he told me, “I figured out I’m the same age as the old people.”

The Bears have named CHS Offensive Coordinator Gavin Peters, as the next head coach for Carencro’s Football Program.
