Fatal carjacking and shooting starts in Broward County and continues in Miami-Dade
A man dropping a woman off at a Miramar home Sunday night was shot and killed after being approached by two juveniles, police said Monday night.
The incident, which police are calling a carjacking, happened just before midnight in the 3600 block of Marlberry Lane.
Police say at least one of the unidentified juveniles shot the man and then both left in the man’s white 2014 Mercedes.
The man was taken to Memorial Regional hospital where he died.
Meanwhile, Miami Gardens police located the stolen Mercedes, Miramar police said.
The suspects bailed out in the 3800 block of Northwest 213 Terrace. One of the two juveniles was taken into custody in Miami Gardens early Monday. He faces charges of first-degree murder and armed carjacking.
The second suspect was taken into custody later Monday on unrelated charges. He is facing additional charges, police said.
