Carlton County recently received a two-year $150,000 grant from the Northland Foundation to analyze its response to domestic violence incidents.

Reporter Jess Waldbillig found out more about what officials hope to accomplish

during the course of the study.

At the Cloquet Forestry Center's open house Aug. 23,

community members got to learn more about the research that takes place there by taking a trip into the woods.

the Esko and Cloquet-Carlton girls soccer teams

ended a match Tuesday, Aug. 29 in a 1-1 draw.

* Starting Friday, Sept. 1 (today!),

the Cloquet Public Library is no longer collecting fines.

* At the Monday, Aug. 28, meeting,

the Cloquet School Board approved adding boys and girls lacrosse.

Both teams will start play in the spring.

* Brickyard Days organizers

have moved the Wrenshall event to September.
