Kentucky girl turned award-winning country singer Carly Pearce is taking her boots across the river to headline a free concert this summer.

Pearce, from Taylor Mill, will perform July 1 at the Jeffersonville RiverStage as part of the "Jammin in Jeff" summer concert series while the city "goes country." Her show in Southern Indiana follows a March appearance with Blake Shelton and Jackson Dean at the KFC Yum! Center for Shelton's "Back to the Honky Tonk Tour."

All shows in the free concert series start at 7 p.m. with the headliner hitting the stage at 8:30 p.m.

Pearce is "fiercely rooted in the classics," according to her website bio. She left high school at 16 for a job at Dollywood and hasn't looked back since. She's won several awards, including a CMA award 2021 for the hit "Never Wanted to Be That Girl," a duet with Ashley McBryde, and a Grammy award for the same song. She's been nominated for several other CMA and Academy of Country Music awards. Pearce has been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and Kentucky Music Hall of Fame.

Other acts for this year's "Jammin in Jeff" series include: "Juneteenth with Lil' Jon," The Crashers, the Endless Summer Band and the "Classic Rock Experience."

Food trucks, cocktails and beer will be available at the show, the site said.
