It’s been a dramatic week for Carnival Cruise Lines. On Monday the company announced that the crew of its Tampa-bound Carnival Paradise cruise rescued a Mexican national who fell into the waters off Cozumel as his small craft began to sink.

Now footage has emerged of another rescue mission involving a Carnival cruise ship. As Newsweek reports, a man traveling on the Carnival Fascination ship went overboard as the vessel neared San Juan, Puerto Rico on Saturday. According to reports, the 19-year-old passenger intentionally jumped from the ship.

“At approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, May 18, Carnival Fascination crew rescued a guest who had jumped overboard from Deck 10,” a spokesperson for the cruise line confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle. “Crew and guests witnessed this event and quickly alerted the bridge. The ship’s captain promptly returned to the location and a life boat was deployed with essential personnel. The guest was quickly brought back on board. He is in good condition and was evaluated by the ship’s medical team.”

Footage said to have been taken by passengers shows the man struggling to swim back to the ship. The Fascination crew took action, launching a rescue operation that reportedly lasted 45 minutes.

One passenger shared a photo of the man being hoisted onto a rescue boat.
