Carole Middleton And Her Daughter Kate Have Worn the Same Dress

Kate Middleton wore her pink color block ME+EM dress again, this time at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show. Below, a story on how she and her mom, Carole, have worn that same dress.
Original, 6/14/22: Like mother, like daughter: Carole Middleton appears to have worn her daughter Kate's dress to the opening day of the Royal Ascot. They are definitely wearing the same dress—a pink color block midi dress from ME+EM—but it's unclear if it's literally the same frock, or if they each purchased their own from the London-based brand. (The dress has sold out on ME+EM's website.)
The Duchess of Cambridge first wore the dress in May 2021, during a royal visit to Scotland. She swapped out the belt the dress came with a different belt from Boden.
She specifically wore a pink dress because she was meeting with Mila Sneddon, a five-year-old cancer patient who features in an image from Kate's Hold Still photography project. When Mila and Kate first spoke on the phone in 2020, Mila shared her favorite color was pink, and Kate promised to wear a pink dress when they met.
However her mom, Carole, opted for the belt that came with the dress when she wore it at today's Royal Ascot.

Carole attended the Royal Ascot with her husband, Michael, today. Kate was not in attendance, as she and Prince William instead went to a memorial service for the five year anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire. However, the Cambridges will almost certainly be in attendance at least one day of the Ascot this year—it's a can't-miss event on the royal calendar.
The Cambridges have been in the headlines quite a bit this week. On Sunday, reports broke that Kate and William are moving their family to Windsor, which would would make the family closer to Queen Elizabeth, who now resides at Windsor full-time, and to the Middletons, who live in Bucklebury, West Berkshire.
