Seven months after Carolina Beach boater Joseph Johnson was reported missing, his 2006 Clearwater fishing boat washed ashore on a small island nearly 3,000 miles away in the Mid-Atlantic. São Jorge Island is located in the Azores archipelago and part of the autonomous region of Portugal.
