Carolina Panthers’ undrafted free agent signing tracker: A QB coming in for minicamp
The 2021 NFL draft has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the Carolina Panthers are done finding players for the roster.
The team is adding a number of players as undrafted free agents to continue to fill out the roster and address needs. The draft was just the beginning, and there are plenty of examples of undrafted players finding success with the Panthers.
Most recently, defensive backs Myles Hartsfield and Sam Franklin worked their way to the 53-man roster and significant roles. Arkansas State wide receiver Omar Bayless was one of the Panthers’ biggest signings after the draft last year, but he missed the season due to injury.

Panthers undrafted free agent signings
▪ QB Peyton Ramsey, Northwestern
The Panthers are bringing in a quarterback for rookie minicamp. Ramsey transferred to Northwestern for the 2020 season after three years of playing at Indiana.
Ramsey, 23, redshirted in 2016 and then became a full-time starter in 2018. During the 2019 season, Ramsey completed 68% of his passes, second highest in program history, for 2,454 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions.
In his only season at Northwestern, he completed just 61% of his passes, but helped lead the Wildcats to a perfect home record for the first time since 1995 and a win in the Citrus Bowl, where he was named MVP. He is just five months younger than Sam Darnold, who has been in the NFL for three years.
The Panthers quarterback room now has Darnold, P.J. Walker, Will Grier, Tommy Stevens and Ramsey.
▪ P Oscar Draguicevich III, Washington State
The Panthers added a bit of competition for Joe Charlton
Draguicevich was third in the country with an average of 46.7 yards per punt on 19 punts in four games played this past season. He put eight punts inside the 20 and recorded five of 50-plus yards this past season.
He has punted for the Cougars over the past three years and set multiple records. Draguicevich can also kick field goals.
Draguicevich is also a realtor. His dad, Oscar Draguicevich was a professional soccer player for 10 years including three seasons in the MLS for the San Jose Clash. He also played in Germany and Argentina.
▪ LB Paddy Fisher, Northwestern
Fisher adds some much-needed depth to the linebacker position, which the Panthers did not address during the draft.
A four-year starter at Northwestern, he was named Big Ten Linebacker of the Year in his senior year and earned first-team all-conference honors. Fisher finished the year with 86 tackles and set a school record with 11 career forced fumbles.
His father, Steve, a former fullback at Bloomsburg University, passed away from cancer in 2010 at the age of 46.
▪ OL David Moore, Grambling
Moore provides some much-needed depth from the Panthers on the offensive line.
During his junior season in 2019, he started 10 games at left guard and earned NFL attention for his play. He did not play in 2020 after Grambling postponed the season until the spring.
The fact that Moore was not drafted came as a bit of a surprise. Many expected him to be picked on Day 3.
▪ FB Mason Stokke, Wisconsin
The Panthers have added a second fullback this offseason after the departure of Alex Armah in free agency.
Stokke is a former linebacker who switched to fullback in 2018. He made 13 starts at the position and had 38 carries and 14 catches.
