A Carolinas-based taqueria is opening this fall at The Station at LoSo in Charlotte

South Carolina-based Taco Boy is expanding, bringing a new location to Charlotte’s The Station at LoSo development in fall 2023.

Taco Boy LoSo — which will include an in-house tortilleria — will sit in Station 3, with the taqueria offering indoor and outdoor dining.

The restaurant offers tacos, quesadillas and sides to pair with them, such as rice and beans, chipotle slaw, Mexican street corn and guacamole. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available. Weekend brunch will also be on the table, with a menu including breakfast tacos, huevos rancheros and churros French toast.

Taco Boy’s flagship location is at Folly Beach, South Carolina.

Drinks include freshly-juiced margaritas and Mexican-inspired craft cocktails.

The location will join Taco Boy’s flagship restaurant at Folly Beach and others in downtown Charleston; Summerville, SC; and Asheville. A second Asheville location is on the way, as well as a new locations in Greenville, SC.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our doors in Charlotte. Many of our team leaders are from the Queen City, and we are excited to continue to grow deep roots in the region by using the power of tacos to build community,” Taco Boy founder and co-owner Karalee Nielsen Fallert said.

Each of the restaurant’s locations is custom designed and decorated. The Charlotte location will be customized by Gensler architecture. Barringer Construction is the builder, and Lynch Mykins and Optima Engineering are the project engineers.
