Carols calm cows producing cream for Baileys

Christmas songs are being used by a dairy farmer to soothe his cattle over thefestive season, and he claims the music makes the milk they produce tastebetter. Irish farmer Joe Hayden has been supplying high-end cream to Baileyssince its launch in 1974, and he swears by playing tunes to his 180 ‘BaileysLadies’ to relax them, leading to the cows releasing a hormone that lowersstress levels, leading to better milk. During December, the Co Wicklow farmerhas been playing carols and pop classics to his herd, although during the restof the year his Holstein Friesians are treated to Bruce Springsteen, Coldplayand The Killers.
