Here's something you don't see every day: a trio of highly desirable sports cars from the mid-2000s—including a Porsche Carrera GT–collecting dust inside a dealership that hasn't been open for almost a decade.

These photos, taken by James Wan (@cheongermando on Instagram) are from the showroom floor of a former Ferrari/Maserati dealership in Guangzhou, a city in the south of mainland China. The dealership allegedly closed in the early 2010s shortly before President Xi Jinping implemented new anti-corruption laws, attempting to curb excessive consumption on high-end products, according to Periodismodelmotor.com. It seems whoever ran the place couldn't evacuate all the cars before closing up the dealership's doors, as three cars—the aforementioned Porsche, a Ferrari 575 Superamerica, and a C5 Corvette Z06—still remain, all these years later.

Though the stories behind the Ferrari and the 'Vette remain shrouded in mystery, Periodismodelmotor.com was able to dig up some info on the Porsche. According to the site, this Carrera GT is the 1255th of 1270 built, and one of just three examples painted in Zanzibar Red Metallic. It's allegedly spent time in Russia and Germany, where it was previously listed for sale at a dealership with 4581 km (around 2800 miles) on the odometer.

It's unclear who owns these three cars now, or if there have been any attempts to rescue them from their showroom prison. Considering their location and the laws surrounding ultra-expensive imports in China, anyone trying to snag them up will likely have to jump through a lot of hoops to get anywhere.
