Carriage houses, backyard ponds and grand staircases: Check out these $1M+ Louisville homes

Some 40 homes listed at more than $1 million are on the market in Louisville, featuring sweeping lawns, high-end appliances, and rooms galore.

These four recently listed single-family homes are no exception. From a one-acre backyard pond to a grand foyer staircase, wood-paneled elevators, and carriage houses, these properties offer more than your typical home.

In October, homes in the greater Louisville area stayed on the market for a median of 13 days, a slight uptick from the single digits of the summer, according to the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors. The median sales price was $256,000, nearly unchanged from the same month last year.

A supersized kitchen includes three ovens, three sinks and two dishwashers, and a breakfast sunroom overlooks the backyard shaded with magnolia trees.

The large basement offers plenty of room for storage and craft or hobby space.

Past the private rear yard sits the carriage house with its own living and sleeping space, kitchen, and bathrooms. An attached two-car garage has alley access.
