Carrie Underwood's hard-rock campaign continued Friday with a new cover of an Ozzy Osbourne classic.

Underwood delivered a country-tinged rendition of the Ozzman's 1990s power ballad "Mama, I'm Comin' Home" for Apple Music Sessions, a new live performance series launched Friday by the tech giant.

Apple Music Sessions debuted with a handful of in-studio performances cut exclusively for the streaming platform. Underwood and ACM Award-winning Canadian country artist Tenille Townes recorded each's respective release at Apple's Nashville studio.

Townes' session includes her songs "Same Road Home" and "Somebody's Daughter," plus a rendition of "At Last," a 1960 song made famous by soul singer Etta James.

Underwood offered a take on her 2022 single "Ghost Story" along with career staple "Blown Away." As for taking a bite out of Osbourne's catalog? “I have always been an Ozzy Osbourne fan and ‘Mama, I’m Coming Home’ is one of my all-time favorite songs," Underwood said in a press statement.

"I’ve always thought it felt a lot like a country song, and I’ve wanted to cover it for a long time. This was a really fun opportunity for me to be able to finally make that happen. I hope we’ve done Ozzy proud and I hope he likes it," she continued.

Underwood's been on a hard-rock rip lately. Her Osbourne cover comes days after crashing a Guns N' Roses gig in London, returning a favor after frontman Axl Rose surprised audiences on stage during Underwood's set at country festival Stagecoach earlier this year.

And her history with headbangin' music doesn't stop at "Welcome To The Jungle," of course. Underwood has previously shown love for modern metal — she sometimes spins metalcore staple I Prevail during workouts — and once stormed CMA Fest with rock trailblazer Joan Jett.

Apple Music Sessions continues with upcoming releases from Ronnie Dunn, Ingrid Andress and more, per a news release. Apple Music users can spin these sessions in Spatial Audio, an immersive listening experience launched by the company last year.
