The CMA Awards released its list of nominees for 2021, and let's just say, fans are not happy.

There's one category in particular that has country music lovers upset: Female Vocalist of the Year. When the nominees were released on Instagram, many noticed that Carrie Underwood was missing from the list for the first time in 15 years. While most people were happy to see Gabby Barrett, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Marren Morris, and Carly Pearce were nominated, a lot of folks wondered how the Cry Pretty singer could be left off.

"Carrie Underwood should have been in there too!," one person wrote. "Carrie's been singing better this last year than her entire career. While all these women are very talented, Carrie could out-sing any female country artist literally anytime," said another.

One person on Twitter even went as for to say that the organization should be "ashamed" of themselves. "Ridiculous. These people just flat out refuse to live in reality and don't even acknowledge @carrieunderwood's record-breaking accomplishments. You should be ashamed of yourselves @CountryMusic #CMAAwards #EntertainerOfTheYear #MySavior #AlbumoftheYear."

However, we're sure Carrie isn't too upset about not being nominated in that category. She has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year, which is a huge accomplishment. She along with Miranda are the only two females nominated with Luke Combs, Eric Church, and Chris Stapleton.

Plus, Carrie won both the Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year in 2020, which is pretty incredible. On top of that, she is starting a Las Vegas residency this year. So we have a hunch she's feeling pretty good about everything right now!
