It's 2023, and alongside so many country stars, Carrie Underwood is continuing to make her rock n' roll dreams come true.

On Aug. 26 at Major League Soccer franchise Nashville SC's GEODIS Park home, Guns N' Roses will return to Nashville for the first major rock concert at the venue. The band known for iconic hits "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Paradise City" and "Welcome To The Jungle" will have a special guest in tow: Carrie Underwood.

"As artists, feeling the freedom to dive deeper into my lifelong influences allows me to play with my favorite artists, like Guns n' Roses," stated Underwood, recently to The Tennessean.

"Opportunities like these to step outside of the boundaries of my primary success [as a country music artist] are cool."

The band's current world tour takes the band to Israel, Spain, France and Greece, among other countries -- including two other Canadian dates for which Underwood will appear with the band, on Aug. 5 in Moncton, New Brunswick and Aug. 8 in Montreal, Quebec.

As well the tour makes an additional Tennessee stop at Knoxville's Thompson-Boling Arena on Sept. 12 (Underwood is not scheduled for that date).

In March 2023, during a "Denim and Rhinestones" tour performance at Los Angeles' Crypto.com Arena (formerly the Staples Center), Underwood surprised audience members by bringing Guns n' Roses lead vocalist Axl Rose on stage for a rendition of the band's hit "Welcome To The Jungle."

“Los Angeles...I wanna hear you make some noise for Axl Rose," Underwood said as her band kicked into the opening notes of "Jungle."

Underwood's rock n' roll history also includes 2022 duets with Rose at the Stagecoach Festival and during a GNR gig in London. As well, Underwood has also covered Ozzy Osbourne's 1992 classic "Mama I'm Coming Home" for Apple Music and played 2019's CMA Fest with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett.
