Carrington finish fifth, N/G-S finish seventh in Stutsman tourney

Jan. 8—JAMESTOWN — The Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials have finished in seventh in the Stutsman County Tournament with a 62-50 win over the Kidder County Wolves on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Jamestown Civic Center.

The Imperials (2-5) were led by Trenton Erbele's 24 points. The Wolves (0-7) were led by Collin Zimmernan's 14 points.

The Imperials are back in action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, when they face Oakes. The Wolves are back in action at 6 p.m. on Jan. 10, when they take on Strasburg/Zeeland.

Carrington carries hot start to consolation championship win:

The Carrington Cardinals opened the game on a 20-8 run and never looked back from there getting a 55-44 win over Griggs-Midkota on Jan. 7, at the Jamestown Civic Center.

The Cardinals (5-2) were led by a trio of players as Jack Erickson, Grady Shipman and Hudson Schmitz each had 16 points. The Titans (3-5) were led by Brady Haugen's 18 points.

The two teams have an immediate rematch when they face off at 7 p.m. on Jan. 10.
