Carroll Township man dies in Washington County motorcycle crash

A Carroll Township man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Washington County Sunday.

Frank Eckels, 54, was killed when his motorcycle crossed the the center lane on Route 88 in Union Township and struck an oncoming vehicle.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Patterson Road around 6:40 p.m

Eckels was not wearing a helmet, according to a report by Washington County Coroner Tim Warco.

The incident is under investigation by Monongahela City police.
