Cars Destroyed by Falling Debris as Earthquake Rocks Albania

An earthquake with a recorded magnitude of 5.6 hit Albania on September 21, shaking Tirana and the port town of Durres.

Local media reported that at least 68 people were taken to hospital with injuries, but none of the reported injuries were serious.

This video shows the exterior of the Albanian School of Magistrates, a university in Tirana, where at least two cars where destroyed when part of the roof fell onto the ground.

Reuters reported that the earthquake struck 19 miles (30 kilometers) west of Tirana, and that one apartment building in Durres was severely damaged. Credit: Arben Canole via Storyful
