Cartwright holding 'Coffees with your Congressman' in Eastburg, Milford, Hawley

U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright’s office has announced a series of Coffees with your Congressman events throughout Pennsylvania’s 8th District, including stops in the Poconos.

The first takes place at the East Stroudsburg University Innovation Center, 562 Independence Road, at 4 p.m. Monday. The rest will be in July.

“It’s important to hear firsthand what’s on the minds of the people I serve," Cartwright said in a news release. “These informal events provide residents the opportunity to discuss their concerns and share ideas on how to make improvements throughout Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District.”

Additional events are scheduled as follows:

  • White Haven Area Community Library: 121 Towanda St., White Haven; 4 p.m. July 6

  • Hazleton Art League: 31 W. Broad St., Hazleton; 3:30 p.m. July 7

  • Milford Borough Hall: 109 W. Catharine St., Milford; 1 p.m. July 8

  • Hawley Silk Mill: 8 Silk Mill Drive, Hawley; 10 a.m. July 9

  • Abington Memorial VFW Post 7069: 402 Winola Road, Clarks Summit; 3:30 p.m. July 10
