CA's Super Bowl 2022 Vaccination Requirements: What To Know

LOS ANGELES, CA — As the Super Bowl draws near, ticket holders may be wondering which COVID-19 protocols will be in place at the game on Sunday.
Proof of vaccination and masks will be required at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Attendees 2 years and older must show their vaccination cards or a negative COVID-19 test taken with in 24 hours and 48 hours if it's a PCR test.
Tests must have a name and date and cannot be an over the counter test without identifying information attached
There will be free testing on site in front of the Gilbert Lindsey Plaza across from the Los Angeles Convention Center, but pre-registration must be completed with no appointments taken. The clinic is first come, first serve, the NFL said.
Vaccinated is defined as both doses of a 2-shot regimen or a single does of Johnson & Johnson, with the last shot being given more than 14 days before the game. Booster shots will only be required for media, tier 1 and tier 2 staff, the NFL announced.
After the testing and vaccination checkpoint, fans will enter the security and ticket gateways.
Despite controversial photos of Gov. Gavin Newsom, Mayor Eric Garcetti and others maskless at the Rams-49ers NFC championship game, mask wearing will be enforced in the stands regardless of vaccination status. All attendees aged 2 and older must wear a mask, except while eating or drinking.

KN95 masks will also be placed on each seat in the stadium.
"That doesn’t mean buy a bucket of popcorn and eat it for two hours … We are onto you," Russ Simons, senior advisor of facilities including SoFi Stadium, said during a news briefing, KTLA reported.
California's indoor masking requirement will expire Feb. 15, just couple of days after the Super Bowl.

The NFL is also offering a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic in the lobby at the Super Bowl Experience, sponsored by Lowe's. Those who receive their 1st, 2nd or booster shot at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the Super Bowl Experience hours of operation will be given free tickets to enter the Super Bowl Experience that day or a future date.
Super Bowl LVI will pit the Los Angeles Rams against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
