CASA gets new roof

Feb. 20—The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) on Tenth Street in Ada recently received a new roof.

Labor and materials were donated for the job.

"We were contacted by CASA to repair a porch on the side of their building," Tyler Mackey of Mackey Roofing said. "When we got over there, we noticed that the entire roof needed replacement. It was in pretty bad shape."

Since CASA's operation is based on donations, they weren't in a position to fund a new roof.

"My dad and I (Ronnie) are in business together," Mackey said, "We talked about it and decided we wanted to donate our labor for them to have a new roof because we believe in what they do there."

Mead Lumber donated some parts. The shingles were donated by Tamko Building Products.
