Cascade schools in Turner has scheduled an early release for all students Monday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat by email, according to the Marion County Sheriff's office.

The Linn County Sheriff's office said it also was investigating a bomb threat that the Central Linn School District received via email.

No suspicious devices have been found at either district schools.

The threat to Cascade schools came in around 10:45 a.m. Monday, the sheriff's office prepared statement.

Cascade schools posted release information on Facebook shortly after noon and then an update.

"We are working with police and sheriff departments and they have recommended an early release out of an abundance of caution," the initial post said.

Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan said Central Linn schools were evacuated and students will be allowed back in after deputies check each school.  While deputies are searching, detectives are working on leads for the source of the email.

Duncan said in a prepared statement that detectives have learned several schools throughout the state received similar threatening emails.
