Casey Anthony’s dad breaks down during interview when asked if he concealed granddaughter Caylee’s body

Casey Anthony’s father got emotional when he was questioned recently about late granddaughter Caylee, whose body he has been accused of disposing.

George Anthony’s teary reaction to the questions about little Caylee was captured in an on-camera interview for “Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test,” hitting A&E on Thursday, according to the sneak peek viewed by TMZ.

He looked to be “struggling” when repeatedly asked if he’d concealed the body of his 2-year-old granddaughter, who disappeared in 2008. In the special, George attributes his emotional response to envisioning the woods where the tot’s remains were eventually located. He maintains he was unaware of where her remains were found.

The polygraph comes a little over a year after 37-year-old Casey — who in 2011 was acquitted of killing Caylee, whose death was ruled a homicide — spoke out in her first-ever on-camera interview.

In Peacock’s “Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies,” which hit the streaming service in November 2022, Casey maintained allegations she’d previously aired in court: that she was molested as a child by George and that he disposed of Caylee’s body.

An “outraged and appalled” George firmly denied the claims both in court and in the immediate aftermath of the limited series.

“It wasn’t true in 2011, and it’s not true now. He denies it all, and will continue to deny it all until his final breath,” a source close to the family told People in 2022.

In addition to the allegations of concealing Caylee’s whereabouts, George is asked in the A&E special about whether he ever had sexual contact with Casey. His wife, Cindy also appears in the special.

“George is keeping a pretty strong exterior, but this tears him up,” the family insider told People in 2022. “He still loves his daughter, and he loved his granddaughter. So this is beyond difficult for him.”

Casey Anthony was found guilty in 2011 of providing false information to law enforcement — a misdemeanor. She was acquitted of murder, manslaughter and child abuse.
