Cash 5 ticket sold in Montgomery County will split $1M prize

Looks like Montgomery County may be experiencing a Lottery winning streak after a second million-dollar winning ticket was sold there.

Unlike the earlier ticket, which had a single winner, the winner of the Oct. 4 Cash 5 with Quick Cash drawing will split the $1.08 million jackpot.

Both winning tickets matched all five balls drawn — 4-12-19-33-41 — and each will receive $541,349 less withholding, according to a press release.

The winning tickets were sold at the Hatfield Market, 304 Union St., Hatfield and ACME Markets, 8200 Roosevelt Blvd., Philadelphia. Each retailer will receive a $5,000 bonus.

In August, the Souderton Food Market sold a record-setting $3.07 million winning lottery ticket, the largest ever for a Cash 5 with Quick Cash game.

A lottery spokeswoman confirmed the record breaking winning ticket has been claimed, unlike another 2021 six-figure winning ticket sold in Montgomery County.

The Powerball with Power Play ticket worth $100,000 before taxes expired on Sept. 20, which was the one year anniversary of the drawing. The ticket was sold at a Wawa in the 1000 block of DeKalb Pike in Whitpain Township.
