Cash4Life? West Palm Beach winner takes all the Florida Lottery game cash now
On Thursday the Florida Lottery announced three big winners from games held earlier this year, excluding Cash Pop. One of the lucky three is a West Palm resident.
West Palm Beach resident Sidnea Wierman, 54, won the $1,000 a week for life prize from the Cash4Life drawing held on Feb. 17. She chose to receive her prize money as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1 million.
The store where Wierman purchased her winning ticket from, a Publix on Okeechobee Boulevard, will receive a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
How does Cash4Life work in Florida?
Cash4Life is a regional, multi-state game that offers two lifetime prizes and great odds for $2 per ticket.
Similar to the game play for PowerBall and Mega Millions, players try to match the five white balls, numbers one through 60, and the Cash Ball, numbers one through four, to win the top prize of $1,000 a day for life.
If you match only the five white balls and not the Cash Ball, you win the second prize of $1,000 each week for life. Drawings are held everyday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

What are the odds of winning the cash for life top prize?
The overall odds of winning any of the Cash4Life prizes are one in eight and the odds of winning $1,000 per day for life are 1 in almost 22 million, according to the Florida Lottery.
The odds of winning $1,000 per week for life are better, at one in 7 million.

According to the Florida Lottery’s website, you can watch the drawing live and past drawings on Vimeo at www.livestream.com/CASH4LIFE. Drawing results are available on this website, at Florida Lottery retailers and by phone at 850-921 7529.
