Cassie Pearson Memorial Scholarship paint night at Berkley Beer Company

The Cassie Pearson Memorial Scholarship Fund will be holding their second annual paint night on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Berkley Beer Company, 10 Ingell St., Taunton. Held from 6 to 9 p.m., the event is a fundraiser for the scholarship fund. Admission, $30, includes pizza, dessert, and entertainment. For $50, guests can participate in the paint night. There will also be a nacho bar, Caesar salad, and there will be drinks for purchase. The event will also feature raffles and a door prize. Painting instruction will be led by Create With Kath; guests will be painting sunflowers on tote bags. Celebrate Halloween at The Pearl

Celebrate Halloween with The Pearl, 76 Weir St., on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. See Rosa Maria and Enio and enjoy a dinner of caldo verde (kale soup); galinha a Madeirense (chicken Madeira-style) with side dishes; baked scrod; and dessert. Fall flavors at Fratelli’s Bakery & Cafe

There are plenty of fall-inspired treats to try at Fratelli’s Bakery & Cafe, 1 Washington St., Taunton. For a little bit of fall sweetness, try the pumpkin spice, maple pecan, and caramel apple cupcakes.

Taunton Eats: The Flying Banana hopes for grand opening in October

October dinner at Taunton Eagles

On Saturday, Oct. 28, stop by the Taunton Eagles, 29 Oak St., for dinner. From 6 to 11:30 p.m., they’ll be serving queijo branco (white cheese) and bread; Portuguese soup; fried smelts with potatoes; roasted meat and potatoes; coffee and sweets. Specials at Grove Street Tavern

Check out the weekly specials at Grove Street Tavern, 53 Grove St., Taunton. Among others, this week they’ve got: peddler’s pot soup; a Sweet Caroline country fried chicken sandwich, with Vermont cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion, served with french fries; and the Mona Lisa pizza, with a creamy garlic sauce base, grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, and bacon.

Trivia Tuesdays at New Weir Pizza
