Casting a ballot in CD1, Middletown bond vote? Consolidated polls to hours – What to know

Early voting is underway as Rhode Islanders decide who to send as the U.S. representative for the state’s 1st Congressional District.

Most Rhode Islanders residing in the 1st Congressional District only have one item on this year’s ballot, the congressional race between Democrat Gabriel Amo and Republican Gerry Leonard Jr.

In Newport County, Middletown residents in particular will also be asked to decide on a $190 million school bond to build a new joint middle school and high school.

Here's a look at what to know before casting your ballot.
