The number of civilians injured in a Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih on July 31 has risen to 81, including seven children, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Serhiy Lysak wrote on his Telegram channel.

Six people were killed, including a 10-year-old girl, he said.

There are 19 people in hospital as of August 1 including two children, said Oleksandr Vilkul, Chairman of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, specified.

August 1 has been declared a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih.

On July 31, Russian forces launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, hitting two buildings — a high-rise apartment building and a four-story technical school building of the city’s Polytechnic Institute.

Russia launched Iskander missiles from the occupied Crimea, namely from central Dzankoy area, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
