Cat in the Hat will be dropping in at Sacramento book event celebrating Dr. Seuss
The Sacramento Public Library will hold a sale in March to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday, with cake and an appearance by the Cat in the Hat scheduled.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 at the Book Den store and warehouse, the first Saturday after Dr. Seuss’ birthday, according to a news release. Hardback books will be $2, trade paperbacks will be $1 and pocket paperbacks will be 50 cents, along with other discounts on children’s and audio books.
Teachers and active military members will get 10% off all purchases.
A preview sale is available to Friends of the Sacramento Public Library members from 5 to 8 p.m. March 6 at the same location. Nonmembers can pay $20 at the door.
