Guy Fieri and Dollywood make a delicious combo. And thanks to the celebrity chef, East Tennessee is front and center on his newest Food Network show.

The second season of “Guy’s All-American Road Trip” premieres at 9 p.m. June 2. Knoxville, Sevierville and Pigeon Forge will be featured in several episodes this season as Fieri, his wife, Lori, and their two sons head out on an epic road trip through Appalachia.

“There’s nothing my friends and family dig more than loadin’ up the RV’s and hittin’ the open road,” Fieri said in a release. “This trip is filled with crazy adventures, family competitions and some of the best food Appalachia has to offer. Buckle up, it’s going to be a wild ride!”

In episodes two and three of the season, Fieri and company visit Pizza Palace in Knoxville, head to Dollywood, make a stop at Fieri’s own Downtown Flavortown restaurant in Pigeon Forge, and try to catch the golden trout at English Mountain Trout Farm in Sevierville.

Guy Fieri returns to Knoxville

The TV host and chef stopped by Pizza Palace on Magnolia Avenue to try new dishes on the menu. The pizza place was one of the first restaurants featured on Fieri’s show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” which highlights the best local restaurants around the country.

At Dollywood, the Fieris enjoyed homestyle fried chicken and cinnamon bread. They also indulged in nachos, burgers, waffles and drinks at the tiki bar at Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown restaurant.

Fieri's 43,000-square-foot entertainment center in Pigeon Forge opened last year in the Mountain Mile Mall. It features a menu by Fieri, bowling, an arcade center and a tiki bar. Fieri made an appearance at its grand opening ceremony.

“Guy’s All-American Road Trip” will air at 9 p.m. Fridays on the Food Network. There are four hourlong episodes this season. Look for the Knoxville-centric episodes to air June 9 and 16.

The season also will feature stops in Nashville and Chattanooga, and in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
