It's time for the 2023 Downtown Canton Restaurant Week.

The Downtown Canton Partnership is spotlighting 25 locally owned restaurants through Saturday.

Those interested in taking part in the event can download a “restaurant pass” at cantoneats.com. In the app, you'll find the deals offered by each of the restaurants. Record your participation at each restaurant to ensure you receive the special pricing.

Stark Bites: Poppys Tacos opens in StarkFresh kitchen in Canton

Each restaurant is offering exclusive deals during the weeklong event. A list of the spots is shared below, but here are some of the deals available this week:

Basil Asian Bistro – Your choice of an egg roll or crab rangoon appetizer with a Pad Thai entrée for a special Restaurant Week price.

Bender’s Tavern – The historic restaurant has a $39.99 per person special menu. Entrees on the menu include fresh Boston scrod a la folie; Glacier Bay crab cakes; Ohio Proud bone-in pork chop; chicken marsala; or fonduta tortellacci basil pomodoro balsamico. Entrees come with a choice of Bender fries; baked potato, basmati rice or fresh vegetable. The deal says no substitutions will be accepted.

Grapes in a Glass – Bruscetta and a flight of wine for $15.

Gridiron Pizza – Large two-topping pizza or dozen wings for $10.

Desert Inn – Three-course menu for $38. Entrée is a choice of lamb, beef or shrimp shish kabob, served family style with salad, rice, broasted potato and garlic bread.

George’s Lounge – Date night for two for $36. Dinners include a drink, bar bite to share, Geourmet burger with hand-cut fries and dessert.

Wing Stop opens in Massillon

Wing Stop has opened at 15 Tommy Henrich Drive NW in Massillon.

The national chain, which focuses on bone-in and boneless chicken wings and tenders, now has three restaurants in Stark County. The others are at 4470 Belden Village St. NW in Jackson Township; and 2238 Tuscarawas St. W in Canton.

The Massillon location is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

Wing Stop opened its first location in 1994 in Garland, Texas, and now has more than 900 stores in the United States.

The menu also includes a chicken sandwich, which can be tailored with the diner’s favorite sauce, and comes with pickles and a choice of dip, which includes ranch and blue cheese dressing.

Sauces have a flavor scale from no-heat Hawaiian and garlic parmesan to a the middle of the road Cajun, all the way up to the mango habanero and atomic, the hottest available.

The menu also includes several deals for diners, which include the ability to mix multiple sauces in an order. A Cajun Meal ($12.99) includes eight boneless wings tossed in Louisiana rub and served with Cajun fries, with drizzles of ranch and melted cheese on top. The deal comes with a 20-ounce drink.

The Latto Meal (26.99) has 21 bone-in wings in up to three flavors, large fries and two dips. This one feeds two to three people. The fries can be substituted for Cajun fried corn, cheese fries, Louisiana Voodoo fries or buffalo ranch fries for an extra cost. Other bundles include a $22.99 All-in Bundle with boneless wings and chicken tenders; and a $16.99 boneless meal with 20 boneless wings.

Dessert is also on the menu, with a triple chocolate chunk brownie.
