Cathedral City is renaming the streets adjacent to Cathedral City and Mt. San Jacinto high schools for one year to recognize two students for their academic success.

The corner of Date Palm Drive and Dave Kelley Road will be named after Cathedral City High School student Sophia Gonzales. The corner of Landau Boulevard and McCullum Way will be named after Mt. San Jacinto High School student Christopher Vega.
