Catholic Schools Week begins Saturday
Jan. 26—NORWALK — Students at Norwalk Catholic and St. Paul High School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week beginning this weekend.
Here is the tentative schedule, subject to change:
—Saturday and Sunday — Students at all Masses helping either serve, usher, greet, read or Eucharistic Minister
—Sunday — Open House at the Early Childhood from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
—Monday (2-hour delay schedule) — Pajama Day (Wake up with Jesus); Ninja Warrior Event at the EC
—Tuesday — Color for a Cause Day (elementary will have Living Rosary in the convo gym)
Class Collections and each class dress in specific color shirts and jeans
Grades Preschool/K — Green, Food bank, canned fruit
Grades 1-3 — Purple, food bank, pasta, canned spaghetti sauce
Grades 4-6 — Orange, food bank, spaghetti sauce, cereal, birthday bags
7th and 8th Grade — Yellow, United Fund, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels
9th grade — blue, Catholic Charities, blankets and socks for adults, children.
10th grade — Blue, Catholic Charities, adult and children, coloring books, coloring pencils.
11th grade — red, Catholic Charities, personal care items, shampoo, body wash, razors, shaving cream, baby wipes, deodorant for men and women.
12th grade — red, Catholic Charities, personal care Items, shampoo, body wash, razors, shaving cream, baby wipes, deodorant for men and women.
—Wednesday (Mass schedule) — Game Day, students may wear crazy socks and ties but with dress up — All School Mass at 9 a.m.
—Thursday (Mass Schedule) — Dress like an Every Day Hero
Elementary — Family groups at 2:20 p.m., students creating valentines for yesterday's hero (nursing home residents)
Jr high/high school — Mr. Tony Legando (former coach and now an author and motivational speaker) will be speaking to students on respect and how we treat one another.
Annual Spaghetti Dinner served from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Early Childhood, 77 State St., Norwalk
—Friday — Seniors to the EC, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
